Vinyasa Krama Yoga Class with Vanessa Rydquist
Come enjoy a mindful, heart-centered Vinyasa KramaYoga class where we will follow our breath into grace, relaxation, and a stronger, more flexible, more balanced body, mind, and spirit.
We will learn to follow our breath into peaceful and sometimes challenging postures (Asana) to increase our dynamic flexibility, strength, and physical & mental fitness. We will also learn stress-relieving, life-promoting breathing techniques (Pranayama) and meditation (Dharana) that cultivate calm, emotional balance, and improved concentration.
This will be a gentle slow-flow, all-levels class, and you will be encouraged to work at your own pace. Please wear comfortable clothes, and bring a sticky mat and a shawl, blanket, or other cover up for resting poses and meditation.

A native of Santa Monica, CA, Vanessa is an artist, yogini, writer, and hoop-dancer. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, Hoopnotica Certified Instructor, and Certified Personal Trainer. She will bring you a classical Vinyasa Krama Yoga class that will meet you where you are and support your growth.
Vanessa has been practicing Yoga since childhood. During her life-long Yoga journey she has practiced devotional Yoga as taught by Paramahansa Yogananda, Buddhist meditation, and various styles of asana including Iyengar, Vinyasa, “Power,” and “Ashtanga” Yoga.
Once she discovered the writings of Srivatsa Ramaswami in 2006, she knew she had found her teacher – a genuine Yoga master and diligent student of Sri T. Krishnamacharya for over 35 years, who teaches Vinyasa Krama Yoga as his guru taught him. In 2008 she was fortunate to do her 200hr RYT teacher training with Srivatsa Ramaswami, and continues to learn from him and develop her ever-evolving practice.
